Kio Griffith

Kio Griffith is a Los Angeles-based graphic designer, visual/sound artist working in diverse media. He has exhibited in galleries and alternative spaces in Japan and throughout the United States. Kio Griffith has been recognized by AIGA for design excellence and also garnered recognition from Print’s Design Annual and the Society of Illustrators for his work. Currently he is collaborating in the art / sound project team Otonomiyaki with Alan Nakagawa, Kushami with Mika Soma and Shinichi Ono, and Gray + Grey with Jon Measures. He performs prepared guitar and custom instruments for Department of Real Estate with Alan Nakagawa and Peter Watkinson. He is also part of the quartet The Love Ensemble founded by Ronit Kirchman. Other members are Motoko Honda and Mark Doten. Currently he is developing “Cafémode” art + music exhibit project and the “fortyroads” traveling exhibitions. The project features assorted works by undiscovered local artists and design professionals. “Walkee Talkee” is a series of interviews spontaneously traveling from friend to friend. “Cafémode” is an art and music exhibiting project for alternative spaces.
